multiples

Dresses made from multiples of porcelain cups and plates by Li Xiaofeng.

Which inspired Roberto Cavalli. . .

Multiples

My multiples consists of over 500 trading cards into a Samurai outfit. Both arms and legs with a helmet, skirt, and vest is a total of 500 cards. used hot glue gun originally but did not worked out where I needed to move around so it was replaced with a clear tape instead.

Multiples!

All of these vests/corsets are made from can tabs.

Walking staffs!

I like the different colors of wood put into the individual pieces in these.
These show different materials that can be put into one walking staff for the handle and the base.
This one is just awesome.

While looking for some garments made from multiples of paper type items, I found the same of my favorite had been posted on the blog. However, there were a couple of cute ones that were also fun!

The garment above is made just from envelopes, neat idea! Click here to see more

Then of course we go galaxy electric with the dazzling dress featuring 24,000 LED lights.. Click here for more
The picture on the right or second picture is a dress made of flowers. As you can see, the reveals of the flowers are on the sleeves and skirt. It seems like this designer didn't want anyone one to wear it because it might be fragile or maybe it shows that just some dresses shouldn't be worn. The other picture shows the poofiness of thee skirt to reveal the inspiration to the flower dress or somewhat. The form of the dress of inspired by the way the flowered dress. This is considered a multiple appeal since the dress it made out of numerous of of the same flower.

I Can Haz Kitteh, Save Money, Live Better.

I went online to research Wal-Mart and the environment. I discovered an article that complained that Wal-Mart was bad for the environment even when they claimed that they were good for the environment. They mentioned several law suits against Wal-Mart and gave statistics that prove their claim.

I decided to help Wal-Mart by promoting environmental awareness.

The first pic is of a multiples garment inspired by medieval chainmail. The second and third pictures are of a Kelly Rowland ASOS Black Chainmail dress collection which is available on the web. Picture #2 is a close up to show the materials. Though it may not have been a direct link between the first garment and the second both are inspired by chainmail.

Multiples Apparel

These are all dresses made out of condoms, believe it or not!

Multiples Apparel

Dress made of toilet paper.

Wearable versions of the dress

Apparel designer

This origami apparel design is made out of what looks to be folded paper, and more specifically origami.
This blouse very much resembles the types of folds that one would see in origami, making it very possible that the designer was inspired by the origami dress. In fact it is actually named "Origami Blouse" (and sells for only $479.20).

These dresses are made of newspaper. It is not exactly a multiple, but there are many pages in each edition of a newspaper so it can be considered a multiple in a way. They created the dresses by folding and shaping the pages of newspaper to form a dress. The items below the newspaper dress are a t-shirt, mens boxers, a jacket, and a tie inspired by a newspaper. The t-shirt, boxers, and jacket have print on them that look like a newspaper and the tie has a crossword type print on it. The crossword isn't exactly a newspaper, but there are crossword puzzles in newspapers so I included that image as well. The clothing below was not exactly inspired by the form of the newspaper dresses, but the type of print (or things in a newspaper) were used in the jacket, shirt, boxers, and tie.
