  4. What are three major types of balance?

  5. Three major types of balance are Asymmetrical color balance, Color and Symmetry, Radial Color Balance. What is color gradation?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Color gradation is the gradual change in color. It can be from one color slowly changing into another color, one color tint slowly changing into another tint, or one color tone into another tone... and etc.

  7. A focal point is a compositional device used to create an emphasis.

  8. What is proximity in an artpiece or design?

  9. In a design, the distance between visual units is called proximity, and even the most disparate forms can be unified with it.

  10. What are the three types of variation?

  11. Variety is created through lines of different lenght, along with smooth and rough textures. Lastly, variety is created through numerous patterns and colors.

In what ways can asymmetrical balance be achieved?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Many strategies can be used to achieved asymmetrical balance. Such as, a large form is placed close to the fulcrum, while a small form is placed farther away, multiple small forms can balance a single large form, and a small, solid form can balance a large, open form.

  14. A focal point is where you are wanting the viewer to look at. it is the point where the picture meets. the MAIN spot. THE POINT where all focus will be put on the work of art.
What is color symmetry apart of?

  15. Color symmetry is one technique used to achieve balance in an art piece.

What is one example of a force that can be used to create contrast?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Examples of forces to create contrast can include static/dynamic, smooth/ textured, small/large, and curvilinear/ rectilinear. The contrast is created when the forces are used in opposition. When the balance is right, it can create a dynamic composition.

  17. What can help create compositional unity?

  18. A: Evidence of deliberation and order tend to increase the compositional unity in an object where as a composition composed of units that are unrelated tends to appear random and unresolved

  19. Q: What are the four visual units we generally group by?
