Did I do this right?

Linear structure: IFC 2 in Hong Kong. I guess it has some volume as well, with the curves and indents around the facade. However, emphasis is on the enormous vertical lines that run the full 400ft height of the building.

Volumetric: The Water Cube in Beijing. The wall is actually textured (all of the bubbles stand out) so I don't think it can be considered a planar structure. The fact that it's a cube immediately makes me think about its volume.

Planar: Guard Tower on the Great Wall. Very simple, flat planes on all 4 sides; looks 2-Dimensional if you stare at it straight on.
