In Rastafarianism, a ritual that is practiced on their several holidays and special occasions is Nyabinghi, or Binghi for short. Nyabinghi is a dance which can last for several days and bring together hundreds of Rastafarians from all over Jamaica. The host Rastas allow all of the participants to camp in tents on the land they own. Formal dancing takes place at night in a tabernacle set up especially for the occasion. In the daytime the Rastas "rest and reason", but the Nyabinghi can last all night into the early morning.
