If you're a PC

Ok folks, here's the free software I've found for stop motion animation on Windows machines:

For stop motion try: http://www.fourchambers.org/fcs_stop_motion_animation_software.php

And for video editing try: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=34

Please understand that, as a mac, I have not used either of these, but they look pretty straight forward. If you've got a PC laptop, bring it on Wednesday and we can play around with this software.

UPDATE:  That stop motion software doesn't seem to work with photos you have already taken, but windows movie maker might.  Try setting the duration od each imported photo to 0.125s.
WMM can go down to about 1/8th second per frame. Set the default duration in Tools > Options then add the frames to the timeline. After that you could save the movie, reimport and double/quadruple the speed using the 'Speed Up, Double' effect once or twice if it isn't quick enough.
